Allows Using a DC Digital Ammeter to Measure Alternator Output
Digital DC ammeters get the information they display from a sensing shunt which, by design, must be located in the negative side of your vessel's DC system. By shifting the shunt's normally positive reference signal to negative, the Shunt Shifter allows a 500A/50mV shunt (Blue Sea No.8255), installed in the positive side of a circuit, to be used by digital ammeters.
Adapts shunts for digital DC ammeters to positive side applications, such as alternator output measurement
Easily installs directly onto shunt using the existing sensor screws
For 12 to 36 volt DC systems
Shunt shifter is shown mounted onto the side of a shunt for illustrative purposes; the shunt is sold separately
